Flexibility and Value: Why BARCH Works for Every Schedule

Why We Offer Flexibility with Our Class Packs (and Why Membership Might Be Right for You)

At BARCH Richmond, we’re all about creating a gym experience that’s fair, flexible, and focused on you. One thing that sets us apart from many other gyms is how we treat our members and class pack users.

Recently, some of you were surprised to hear that our class packs (and drop-ins) are valid for a full 12 months. Even more surprising to some was our promise: if life ever gets in the way—whether it’s work, an injury, or family commitments—we’re happy to extend them for you.

This isn’t just a nice gesture; it’s a reflection of how we run our gym. Here’s why we do it, plus how our Unlimited Membership might be the best fit for some of you.

Class Packs and Drop-Ins: Flexibility for Everyone

Not everyone can commit to a membership, and we get that. Some people want the option to train occasionally, or their schedule only allows them to come once or twice a week. That’s why we’re proud to not be a members-only gym.

If you know you can’t train more than 8 times a month, class packs or drop-ins are the best option for you. They give you access to our no-ego, inclusive environment without overcommitting.

Our Class Pack Options:

  • First Class Free Credit: Your first class is on us! We’ll help you find the best class to match your goals.

    • Cost: £0

  • Class Credit: Pay-as-you-go for one class.

    • Cost: £18.50 (12-month expiry).

  • 10 Class Package: 10 credits to use for 10 classes.

    • Cost: £164 (£16.40 per class, 12-month expiry).

  • 20 Class Package: 20 credits to use for 20 classes.

    • Cost: £300 (£15 per class, 12-month expiry).

Membership at BARCH: The Best Value for Regulars

If you’re someone who trains two or more times a week, our Unlimited Membership is the best value for money. Being a member comes with some amazing perks:

What’s Included:

  • Unlimited classes: Access to strength, yoga, conditioning, and specialty classes, plus social events.

  • Online programming: Track your weights, log progress, and measure results.

  • Quarterly check-ins with a coach: Personalized guidance to keep you on track with your goals.

  • A gym that cares: We’re invested in your success and want to see you thrive.

  • A strong community: Be part of a no-ego, supportive environment where you feel at home.

Cost:

  • £139 per month – unlimited classes with no contract.

  • Two weeks’ notice required to cancel or pause.

If you’re training 8 times or more per month, membership is a no-brainer.

Why We Keep Things Flexible

  1. We’re Not Here to Rip You Off
Many gyms make money off unused credits or locked-in contracts. That’s not our style. Whether you’re on a membership or using a class pack, we want you to use everything you’ve paid for.

  2. Life Happens
Injuries, travel, or work can disrupt your training schedule. With a 12-month expiry on class packs (and extensions when needed), you can train on your terms without stress.

  3. We Value Trust Over Transactions
At BARCH, we’re about building trust, not just collecting payments. Flexibility and fairness are part of our ethos, and we believe in treating everyone with respect and understanding.

What’s Right for You?

Whether you’re a member or someone using a class pack, our goal is the same: to help you feel stronger, fitter, and more confident in a no-ego environment.

If you’re training regularly and want to immerse yourself in everything BARCH has to offer, membership is the way to go. But if life is busier or you’re balancing other commitments, our class packs give you the flexibility to train when it suits you.

At BARCH Richmond, we’re not just a gym—we’re a community that cares. Whichever option works for you, know that we’re here to support you every step of the way.
