If you love pushing yourself in conditioning sessions—getting fitter, stronger, and keeping your heart rate high—then our new conditioning block is designed just for you. Starting in January, we’re introducing exciting changes to help you make measurable progress, enjoy more structure, and take your fitness to the next level.

What’s Changing in Our Conditioning Sessions?

Here’s what you can expect in the new block:

  1. Calorie Targets Simplified
    We’re moving away from setting your own targets over a time period. Instead, we’ll provide 5 calorie target levels, giving you clear guidance and structure. No guesswork—just show up and hit your numbers.

  2. Consistency Across Classes
    You’ll stick to the same level across all your sessions. For example, if you’re working at Level 3 during a 1-minute effort, you’ll use Level 3 for 30-second efforts on another day. The pacing scales consistently, making it simple to know where you’re at and what to aim for.

  3. Longer Efforts in Target Sessions
    For intervals lasting 2 minutes or longer, you’ll tackle these in dedicated target sessions. These sessions will help you build endurance while sticking to your chosen level.

What About Testing?

We’re also changing how testing works in this block to make it more effective:

  • Constants Each Week: Every week, you’ll work on key movements and lifts to build strength and consistency. These constants will stay the same throughout the block so you can measure your progress.

  • Timings That Evolve: To keep things fresh, we’ll change the timings of your intervals every 4 weeks, giving you new challenges and ways to push yourself.

  • Testing Workouts: These will measure your overall strength, fitness, and endurance. By the end of the block, you’ll see exactly how much you’ve improved—and the answer is simple: you’ll be fitter!
